A half-day retreat into relational self-love, self-discovery and deeper connection. Most of us were never taught how to create a secure relationship with ourselves, or how that relationship shapes the way we connect with others. We weren’t taught how to recognise our emotional and relational needs, soothe ourselves without silencing ourselves, communicate honestly or remain connected to who we are while loving someone else. Meeting Myself is an introduction to this relational inner work: an intimate afternoon of reflection, learning and meaningful connection for anyone curious about understanding themselves and their relationships more deeply. This is self-love beyond bubble baths and surface-level self-care. It is the practice of knowing yourself, listening inwardly and learning how to respond to what you genuinely need, so you can meet others without repeatedly leaving yourself behind. This retreat is for you if… You care deeply for others but struggle to recognise or express your own needs. You appear capable and independent, yet often feel overwhelmed or emotionally alone. You people-please, overthink, withdraw, become defensive or seek reassurance when connection feels uncertain. You find yourself silencing parts of who you are to avoid conflict or rejection. You want to build more honest, secure and collaborative relationships. You are curious about relational inner work but don’t know where to begin. You want to enter the new season feeling more grounded, connected and intentional. You are welcome to attend alone, with a friend or alongside your partner. You do not need to be experiencing a crisis, or be in a romantic relationship, to benefit. What we’ll explore You’ll be introduced to six core relational needs: Attachment and belonging Authentic self-expression Internal safety and stability Feeling seen and known Soothing and emotional care Support, challenge and growth Together, we’ll explore how these needs influence your emotions, protective patterns and relationships. Instead of asking, “What is wrong with me?”, you’ll begin asking: “What is this part of me trying to protect—and what might I relationally need?” Through guided teaching, personal reflection, embodied awareness and carefully facilitated relational practices, you’ll begin to notice where you trust yourself, where you abandon yourself and what helps you feel safe enough to connect more honestly. Everything is invitational. You will never be required to share anything deeply personal or participate beyond what feels right for you. A gentle flow for our afternoon Arrival, tea and refreshments Time to settle into the space, enjoy a warm drink and gently arrive before we begin. Welcome meditation and opening circle We’ll begin with a grounding meditation followed by an open circle, a spacious hour to arrive fully, connect with the group and meet ourselves exactly where we are. Relational self-discovery workshop Through teaching, guided reflection and shared exploration, we’ll discover our core relational needs, discover how our nervous system is wired to react at times of relaitonal stress, and how our patterns shape the relationship we have with ourselves and others. Closing circle and sound relaxation We’ll bring our insights together before settling down for a deeply restful sound relaxation, allowing the body to soften and the experience to integrate. Autumn supper and conversation We’ll close around the table with a nourishing vegan supper and relaxed conversation: time to connect, digest and enjoy being together. What you’ll leave with A clearer understanding of relational self-love Greater awareness of your emotional and relational needs Insight into the patterns shaping how you connect with others Language to express yourself and your needs more clearly A practical way to check in with yourself before reacting or withdrawing A personal intention to support you through the new season Reflective materials to continue your exploration at home The experience of being seen and heard without needing to perform or have everything figured out Why experience this in a group? We can learn a great deal about ourselves alone, but our relational patterns were formed through connection with others. A small, carefully held group gives you the opportunity to practise being seen, listening without fixing, expressing yourself without overexplaining and allowing someone else’s experience to be different from your own. It reminds us that the patterns we privately judge ourselves for are often deeply human, and that we don’t have to work everything out alone. We’ll complete the afternoon around the table with a nourishing, autumn-inspired vegan supper: time to slow down, receive, connect and allow the experience to settle.
