Yorkshire OPEN (https://www.y-open.org.uk/) is a community for people in or curious about ethically non-monogamous relationships.
This is a family friendly social event. To make it a great experience for you and other members of the group, we will email guidelines we ask everyone who attends to follow. These are around things such as photography and boundaries. You will receive the email once you have signed up.
The event is open to new and familiar faces, all OPEN members and their connections, families, partners, loved ones etc. Children are welcome. No dogs this time.
What to expect
How many times have you heard, "You just want to have your cake and eat it," when referring to ethical non-monogamy? Staring at cake would be a waste of good cake... so let's have our cake and eat it too!
This will be a chill social to slow down as we head into autumn and winter.
Bring (all optional):
a yoga mat for some stretching and relaxing on the floor (not a led session)
blankets to cosy up in
any crafts you want to work on
anything else that makes you feel cosy. Cushions? Sure! Thick socks? Absolutely.
We will bring the cake!
Cake is free for attendees but you have to sign up so we know how much to order. There will be at least one vegan option and one gluten free option. All cake will be made without nuts. Donations welcome but not required.
Additional food and drinks can be purchased from Brew Society. They have hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a range of sandwiches and toasties.
Access:
We have two rooms at the back of Brew Society to ourselves (Hippo rooms). One room has a pool table and dart board, the other is an open space.
There are four steps at the front entrance with an accessibility lift.
There are two gender neutral toilets.
The speakers from Brew Society go into the first room but not the second.
