Free veggie cooking at The Green Space! Make Patrick’s famous potato curry, learn new skills & enjoy our community BBQ.

Come along to The Green Space in Braunstone Town for a day of free food, cooking, gardening and community!

On Sunday 27th September, we’re hosting a Big Community BBQ with free veggie cooking workshops, followed by a relaxed community BBQ in the garden.

Free Cooking Workshops – booking required

Join us to make Patrick’s famous potato curry!

We’ll be cooking together in two practical, friendly workshops:

11am–12pm

1pm–2pm

You’ll get involved in preparing and cooking the curry, learn a simple recipe you can make again at home, and enjoy using fresh and seasonal ingredients.

We’ll be harvesting a mix of familiar and more unusual produce grown at The Green Space — and cooking with what we pick too!

Places are limited, so please book your free place in advance.

Community BBQ – 3pm–5pm

No booking needed – just drop in!

Come along for our free community BBQ, enjoy freshly prepared veggie food and spend time in the garden with other local people.

Want to keep growing?

We’ll also be running friendly follow-up gardening sessions at The Green Space:

30th September, 6pm–8pm – drop in

3rd October, 11am–1pm – drop in

Have a go at gardening, learn more about seasonal food and growing, and get involved at your own pace. No experience needed.
