About This Event

The 2nd Annual Common Folk Festival will be held at Regent Sports And Social Club in Leicester on September 25, 2026. The celebration commences with a complimentary 'Song and Shanty' session accessible to all attendees. This is followed by an evening concert featuring the ticketed performances of The Rye Sisters, Bella Gaffney, and Roger Wilson. On Sunday, participants are invited to take part in eight free workshops that cover various instruments and performance arts, including Mountain Dulcimers, Drums, Violins and Cellos, as well as Singing, Spoken Word, Morris Dance, and Greek Folk Dance. This diverse programme aims to foster a community of enthusiasts from all walks of life, encouraging the exploration and appreciation of traditional folk music and dance.
