The Midlands has a wealth of health research, clinical and innovation expertise. The NIHR Midlands Health Alliance (MHA) Industry Gateway is being launched to make it easier for businesses to find and connect with that capability across the region.

Bringing together organisations and expertise from across the East and West Midlands, the Industry Gateway provides a route for industry to engage with researchers, clinicians, NHS organisations, universities and innovation partners across the MHA network.

The launch event will showcase the breadth of research and innovation capability available across the Midlands and explore how stronger connections with industry can support the development, evaluation and adoption of new health and life sciences innovations.

What to expect

The programme will include presentations from the Midlands' Biomedical Research Centres, industry speakers and panel discussions exploring the relationship between industry and health research.

Sessions will cover the region's research strengths and capabilities, what industry needs from successful partnerships, examples of industry collaboration and the wider innovation environment across the Midlands.

There will also be opportunities to meet researchers, innovation specialists and organisations from across the MHA network, with exhibition and networking opportunities throughout the day.
