About This Event

The Service of Lament for Homelessness will take place at Leicester Cathedral on 7 October 2026 at 17:30. This event serves as a reflective gathering to honour and remember those who have died while experiencing homelessness. Attendees will have the opportunity to lament the ongoing issues surrounding homelessness in our communities. Admission is free.

A reflective gathering to remember those who have died on our streets, and an opportunity to lament the facts about homelessness.

A reflective gathering to remember those who have died on our streets or without permanent homes - and an opportunity to lament the facts around homelessness, considering how we can work together for positive change and support one another in this endeavour.

After the service, of around 45 – 50 minutes, you are warmly invited to enjoy light refreshments afterwards, to wander around the Cathedral and to catch up with folk.
