Join Bottom Dog Theatre Company this autumn for Four Dangerous Plays, a season of rehearsed readings exploring conflict, power and the pressures that shape our lives.

These are plays that challenge, provoke and refuse to play safe - often causing controversy when first performed.

Now in our 15th annual season, we continue our tradition of bringing great plays to life with outstanding actors and directors, in the intimate surroundings of No. 1 Pery Square.

Sunday 18 October — THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS

By Seán O'Casey | Directed by Paul Meade

O'Casey's powerful portrait of Dublin tenement life against the backdrop of the 1916 Rising, presented in its centenary year.

Sunday 25 October — SAVED

By Edward Bond | Directed by Cáit Moloney

A controversial and uncompromising landmark of British theatre, examining violence, social alienation and the breakdown of human connection.

Sunday 1 November — THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO

By Pierre Beaumarchais | Translated by Michael West | Directed by Myles Breen

A brilliantly subversive comedy of class, privilege, love and rebellion, which challenged the established order of its day.

Sunday 8 November — THE EMIGRANTS

By Sławomir Mrożek | Directed by Kamila Dydyna

Presented as part of the Polish Arts Festival. Booking for this performance is handled separately through the festival.
