Rathkeale’s Dullahan to Darkness Halloween Parade brings Irish folklore to the streets on Halloween night as part of the town’s two-day Halloween festival.

Festivities begin at 6:00pm at Rathkeale House Hotel before the narrative-led parade departs at 7:00pm. The performance follows the legendary Dullahan as the story transforms into the mysterious Child Catcher, combining street theatre, folklore, costume and community participation.

The parade takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 in Rathkeale.

The public parade is part of the council-supported Halloween programme. A separate adults-only fancy dress disco later that night has a €15 entry fee and is not part of this GetEvents listing.
