This interactive workshop is designed for adult social care providers and commissioners to explore how cyber incidents can affect care delivery and what organisations can do to remain resilient.

The day will begin with practical guidance on business continuity planning and how to test whether plans actually work, followed by a North West Cyber Resilience Centre-led cyber investigation escape room.

Participants will then work through realistic adult social care scenarios involving system outages, supplier cyber incidents, loss of access to critical information and wider market disruption. Group exercises will focus on identifying critical care pathways, high-risk points and practical mitigation measures that can help services continue operating safely during disruption.

The session will also explore the role of providers, commissioners and technology suppliers during significant cyber incidents.

Attendees will leave with practical ideas for strengthening business continuity arrangements, testing resilience and maintaining safe care when digital systems are unavailable.
