A photo exhibition about football, memories, and lost home.

Football is part of your home. It lives in childhood memories, stadium stands, and old photographs. We collected these stories to explore one question: when you lose your home, can football and the moments connected to it stay with you?

Visit the opening of a photo exhibition about Shakhtar Donetsk — a Ukrainian football club that has been separated from its home for 12 years, yet remains a powerful symbol of Ukrainian identity.

People displaced by war, together with football fans, will share an experience that Liverpool knows like no other: the feeling of when football becomes home.

Organised by Viktoriia Olishevska (University of Liverpool), whose research explores the politicisation of sport, in collaboration with the SHIDNIITURE project, documenting Eastern Ukraine’s heritage.
