LJMU Wellbeing Garden: Planting a Sensory Garden
Growing Connections
Join us for Growing Connections, a student-led project that brings people together through gardening, nature and community. Whether you're an experienced gardener or have never planted a seed before, this is an opportunity to get involved, make new connections and contribute to a shared growing space.
Through hands-on gardening activities, participants will help create and care for planting areas while exploring the benefits of spending time in nature. Together, we'll sow seeds, nurture plants and watch them grow over time, creating a living symbol of the relationships, ideas and experiences we develop along the way.
Growing Connections is about more than gardening. It's about building a welcoming and inclusive community where students can meet others, share knowledge, support wellbeing, and develop a sense of belonging. As our garden grows, so too will the opportunities for collaboration, creativity and friendship.
This project will culminate in a special event where we will celebrate our achievements, showcase what we've grown and reflect on the connections we've cultivated throughout the journey.
Come along to help us plant, grow, and flourish together.
What to expect:
Hands-on gardening and planting activities

A welcoming and inclusive environment for all experience levels
Time outdoors to support wellbeing and connection with nature
