1 GLOBAL MOVEMENT - 3 DAYS OF FESTIVAL - 10 YEARS OF CELEBRATION.
Since 2017, our work has influenced the UN, UK government, EHRC, global brands, celebrities and international media. The 10th World Afro Day happens only once and we’re inviting everyone to our joyful street takeover. The ‘Fro Festival is three days of retail, culture, and community impact.
Over the last decade, we have reached millions in 70+ countries. So if you can't join us in person, then please connect online.

'FRO FESTIVAL 15-17 SEPTEMBER
DAY 1 - TUE 15 SEPTEMBER
10am - 10pm (free entry for everyone)
10am - 6pm WAD WONDERMARKET
Pop-up shop with trusted brands: SoulCap, Massassi B, Shades of Melanin and more in hair, beauty, lifestyle, clothing, jewellry, books.
108 Lower Stable Street - Kiosk NC1 + Online market
1pm COMMUNITY CATWALK
Youth takeover the street and showcase their Afro hair and stories on the catwalk
1pm - 2pm FLOWERS & FRO WORKSHOP
‘Flowers & 'Fro hair accessories with Roseur, a luxury flower shop. Flower hair accessories can be bought on the day as well as workshops to create your own. Made from dried flowers, which can last up to 2-3 years. Beautiful flowers and beautiful hair.
5 - 6pm AFRO AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB
Hosted with Frobelles , a workshop for 10 pre-booked children and 10 walkins. Making Super-hairo capes and creating their own Afro superhero names. Great for imagination, creativity, literacy skills and hair styling. Children keep the capes, plus with bonus Afro croc charms. Location - Mare Street Market, Coal Drops Yard, King's Cross, London.
5 - 6pm WORLD AFRO DAY RADIO SHOW + VOICES RADIO
A live radio show from the street with Broadcaster and Founder Michelle De Leon + Gen Z and special guests.
6pm COMMUNITY CATWALK
Joseph Dixon, Director of Rooted app creates showstopper moments with 10 people from the community, sharing their stories and Afros, locs, braids etc. on Lower Stable Street.
7pm - 10pm WORLD AFRO DAY + NIGHT - Ticket only
Panels, Poetry, Mixer, Music, Drinks. Plus special guests inclduing Beverley Knight. Private ticketed event • Limited to 75.
DAY 2 - WED 16 SEPTEMBER

School takes over the street and showcase their Afro hair and stories on the catwalk
6pm Community Catwalk
Mane Hook Up and Rise.365 combine for a community catwalk special. A hair showcase and powerful stories on Lower Stable Street.
1pm and 6pm - Flowers & 'Fro Workshops
6:30pm - 8:30pm Free Hair & Scalp Check. Free check ups with Trichology professionals Stephanie Sey and Belinda Asafo-Agyei. Book your free slots.
