A Taste of Sculpture in the City

Hosted by Artistic Director of Sculpture in the City & LACUNA Founding Director, Stella Ioannou, with special guest Co-Founder of Bompas & Parr, Sam Bompas

Join Sculpture in the City’s Artistic Director and LACUNA Founding Director, Stella Ioannou, for another Taste of Sculpture in the City where guests will explore the current works on display in Sculpture in the City.

Following the walking tour, guests will be invited to Bar Fogo, Bishopsgate (formerly Fino at Fazenda), where they will be offered complimentary canapés inspired by a selection of the sculptures.

A Taste of Sculpture in the City welcomes special guest, Sam Bompas, Co-Founder of Bompas & Parr – a creative studio that cultivates culture and is globally recognised as the leading experts in multisensory experience design, achieving international prominence in the realms of food and drink.

The tasting session invites guests to discuss what parallels can be drawn from the eye to the taste bud, whilst learning more about the history of the ingredients served.

A Taste of Sculpture in the City returns as part of the London Sculpture Week programme for 2026 (19th – 27th September).

Launched in 2022, London Sculpture Week brings together five leading London cultural initiatives — East Bank, Frieze Sculpture, Fourth Plinth, Sculpture in the City and The Line — for a citywide celebration of public art.

Each year in late September, the programme brings together tours, performances, talks and other events, exploring how sculpture connects people, place and public life — how it speaks, remembers, protests, plays and dreams.

Across the city, London Sculpture Week offers new ways to encounter sculpture – encouraging audiences to move through London, look more closely at their surroundings and experience familiar places differently.

Sculpture in the City

Sculpture in the City is an annual sculpture park that uses the urban realm as a rotating gallery space. The City of London alongside LACUNA, in partnership with property owners and businesses, have unveiled a new selection of artworks by internationally acclaimed and emerging artists each year. World-class contemporary sculpture complements the unique architectural quality of the area and engages the passers-by, who range from local workers to architectural tourists and other visitors, animating one of the most dynamic parts of the City of London.

The project started in 2010 as a public realm activation project for the area of St Helen’s and Undershaft which resulted in an exhibition of just four artworks in June 2011, Sculpture in the City has shown a total of 165 artworks by 140 artists to date.
