The Shaftesbury Theatre will host a performance of the musical Avenue Q on 30 December 2026. The show is based on the cartoon series of the same name and remains popular among those who appreciate musical theatre.
About Avenue Q
Avenue Q is a three-time Tony Award-winning musical that has returned to the West End after two decades. Written as a fresh, comic take on post-college life, it follows Princeton as he moves into a shabby apartment on New York’s rundown Avenue Q and meets the neighbours who share his world.
The show tracks work, love and paying the bills through a mix of sharp humour, colourful characters and infectious songs. It also brings back the original Broadway director Jason Moore and original puppet designer Rick Lyon.
Re-discovering the fun, fuzz and felt for a strictly limited season this spring, Avenue Q is presented as a mischievous and charming musical with a strong following and an award-winning pedigree.
Key facts: three-time Tony Award-winning musical; returned to the West End after two decades; strictly limited season this spring.
