About Into The Woods

Into The Woods in the West End is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, directed by Jordan Fein and fresh from a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. This new production brings together familiar fairytale figures including The Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders as they journey deep into the woods.

The story follows wishes, lost slippers, beanstalks and changing paths as the characters’ lives intertwine. Described as a joyful, witty and beautiful production, it looks beyond ‘Happily ever after’ to show what comes next.

Set and costume design is by Tom Scutt. Audio described performances: 7.30 pm Friday 9 October 2026. Captioned performances: 7.30 pm Monday 9 November 2026.
