About Into The Woods

Into The Woods transfers to the West End after a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical is directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt.

The show brings together a Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders as they journey into the woods. As their paths entwine, wishes are made, slippers are lost, beanstalks take flight and new friendships are forged.

The production explores what comes after the fairy-tale ending, with life beyond “happily ever after” set against both magic and darkness.

Before you book

This production is suitable for ages 12 and over. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and seated next to a ticket holder aged 18 or over. Children under 3 will not be admitted.

Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.

The production contains haze, loud noises, flashing lights, strobe effects and periods of absolute darkness in the auditorium. You are asked to remain in your seat during the periods of darkness. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
