Hackney Council, Hackney Cycling Campaign and Hackney Society are collaborating on a brilliant range of rides and activities that everyone can enjoy. Any events and rides with a * need to be booked (it’s free!) Click here for all festival tickets . Join in the fun at Hackney Town Hall Join us at Hackney Town Hall, Mare Street, London, E8 1EA and celebrate the opening of the new Town Hall square, as well as a range of activities and fun including: Stalls Information Dr Bike where you can show your bike some love with a free bike check, cycling advice and minor repairs Walking, cycling and games Timings and details tbc, check back for more info or book a free ticket to receive emails We will be confirming timings and adding more information about the activities shortly, so check back for more details, or book a free ticket to automatically receive updated information. Take part in one of our rides All our rides start from Hackney Town Hall and are marshalled. Kidical Mass Feeder Ride*: Join Hackney Cycling Campaign to ride to the start of the Kidical Mass ride in central London . This year the Kidical Mass ride is jungle themed and starts from the Festival Cycling hub in Westminster, right by St Paul’s Cathedral, where there are a range of stalls and activities to enjoy. We will be confirming the start time of this ride shortly, so check back for more details, or book a free ticket to automatically receive updated information. Hackney Cycle Ways 20km loop ride*: Join Hackney Cycle Campaign for a ride round the borough, taking in many of Hackney’s cycle tracks, low traffic neighbourhoods, Cycleways and parks. Dalston, Millfields, Chatsworth, Hackney Central, Well St Common, London Fields, Haggerston, Shoreditch, De Beauvoir, Mildmay, and Stoke Newington! The ride is a circular route of around 20km and will take about 90 minutes. This is a led rid for experienced riders. We will be confirming the start time of this ride shortly, so check back for more details, or book a free ticket to automatically receive updated information. Hackney Society cycle tour of historical sites*: Starting at Hackney Town Hall the ride will leave at 3pm and traverse the borough before finishing at the original base of the world’s oldest cycling association, Pickwick Bicycle Club , on the northeast corner of Hackney Downs. Led by Anna Aslanyan, the tour will include stops at Clapton Pond, Sutton House, St Augustine’s Tower, the Rio Cinema and other historic landmarks. Riding together, the participants will explore the colourful past of these places, look at their dynamic present and attempt to imagine their future. The route – a combination of cycle paths and local roads – is suitable for competent cyclists aged 12 and over, who are expected to join on bikes.
