About This Event

In a world that rarely stops, Beyond Collage offers the chance to slow down. This creative workshop meets you exactly where you are and gently encourages you beyond what you thought was possible. Through simple yet engaging techniques, you will learn new skills, unlock creativity you never knew you had, and discover the joy of making art while staying grounded in the present moment. This is more than Collage. It is an invitation to reconnect with yourself. As you follow the rhythm of your pen, respond to colour, or become absorbed in the artwork unfolding before you, the noise of everyday life begins to soften. The process encourages you to focus on this moment alone, allowing your mind the space to rest while your creativity comes alive. The workshop offers the perfect balance of challenge and ease, engaging enough to hold your attention without creating pressure or anxiety. There are no expectations to create a masterpiece, only an invitation to trust the process, take a small leap of faith, and allow your inner creative self to emerge. Together we will explore colour, paper, felt-tip pens and markers, materials many of us associate with childhood, and rediscover them in completely new ways. You may surprise yourself with the beautiful, expressive artwork that unfolds beneath your hands. The workshop is led by Azaria Ledeatte-Williams, who developed this creative approach during the 2020 lockdown. While the world slowed down, art became a way to stay present, process emotions, and find moments of calm amidst uncertainty. Beyond Collage has grown from that experience into a practice centred on creativity, mindfulness and self-expression. With over 18 years' experience working in secondary education, Azaria has dedicated her career to nurturing confidence through creativity. She believes everyone has the ability to create meaningful art, it simply needs the right environment, gentle encouragement, and the freedom to explore without judgement. Beyond Collage is also an opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed and welcoming space, while discovering more of yourself through the creative process. If you choose to return, each workshop becomes part of a unique handmade folding book that gradually unfolds into a personal visual story, a beautiful record of your creative journey over time. If you would prefer a one-off experience, you will complete, frame, and take home your finished artwork as a lasting reminder of the time you gave yourself to pause, create, and simply be. Beyond Collage is more than making art. It is making space, for curiosity, for calm, for connection, and for the parts of yourself that are waiting to be discovered.
