About This Event

Breathwork, Sound Bath & Creative Writing: Return to Yourself will be held on 13th September 2026 at The Florence Trust, Holy Trinity, London. The session combines deep breathwork, a sound bath, and a creative writing workshop. Tickets are priced between £49.00 and £59.00.

An immersive afternoon in Islington combining deep breathwork, a live-voice sound bath and a guided creative writing workshop.

When did you last give yourself enough space to hear what is happening beneath the noise?

So much of life is spent thinking, doing, responding and holding everything together. Over time, it can become difficult to hear your own inner voice - or even recognise what you need.

Join us in Islington, London, for an immersive afternoon of deep breathwork, sound healing and creative writing, held within Kate Mayer’s Afterglow exhibition at the Florence Trust.

Return to Yourself is a carefully sequenced wellbeing experience designed to help you step away from everyday noise, reconnect with your body and listen more closely to what is happening within you.

Held in the extraordinary setting of a white cube gallery space within an old church and surrounded by abstract artist, Kate Mayer’s Afterglow exhibition, this carefully sequenced afternoon will take you on a journey through breath, sound and words.

Rather than three separate workshops, the afternoon unfolds as one continuous journey. Breathwork opens the space. Sound carries you deeper. Creative writing gives expression to whatever emerges.

Your journey through breath, sound and words

Deep breathwork with Adrian Rambla

Guided by Adrian Rambla, this 45-minute immersive breathwork journey uses Conscious Connected Breathing, music, and wireless headphones to bring your attention away from the outside world and deeply into the body.

The experience begins with grounding and clear guidance before moving into a more activating breathwork practice designed to support emotional release, nervous-system awareness, renewed energy, and a deeper connection with yourself.

The session will then transition gently into the sound healing experience, creating one continuous journey through breath, vibration, and creative expression.

No previous breathwork experience is required.

Live-voice sound bath with Tor Njamo

Vocal artist and sound healer Tor will immerse you in a deeply restorative sound bath using the human voice. Allow yourself to become still, listen inwardly and experience sound as something felt throughout the body, not simply heard.

Join Tor for an immersive experience combining breath, visualisation and live voice. Built entirely from the voice. No bowls, no gongs, no instruments, only live singing layered over an atmospheric bed of sound, moving around you and through you

The sound clears, replenishes and grounds. It restores something deeper too, the living force that runs low when you are depleted, the part of you that is intuitive, awake, and entirely your own. You arrive carrying the week. You leave clear, attuned, and closer to the sound beneath the noise, your own inner knowing.

What stays with you:

A clearer, settled mind moving into the rest of your day

Steadier breath, and a nervous system that holds its calm under pressure

Deeper sleep on the night you attend

The feeling of being replenished and grounded, rather than running on empty

A sense of your own vitality restored, the aliveness that runs low when you are depleted

Creative writing workshop with Elle Dillon-Reams

Award-winning poet and performer Elle Dillon-Reams will guide you through an intuitive creative-writing workshop, helping you give words to whatever has surfaced during the afternoon.

Writing From the Afterglow A poetry workshop with Elle Dillon-Reams

Some feelings live in the body long after the moment that made them. The Afterglow : the trace joy leaves behind, the warmth that stays when the music stops, the memory that leaves meaning.

There is a version of you that only shows up after the breath has slowed. After the sound has moved through you and left something rearranged.

Come find whoever you are when nobody's watching - unguarded, unarmoured, unshackled.

Following breathwork and a soundbath, this is a workshop for that self. We'll write from presence, not performance. From the body, not the brain alone. Free writing, poetry exercises, permission to be unfinished and honest on the page as we journey back to self. No experience needed, only a willingness to arrive as you are.

An intimate performance of Elle Dillon-Ream's poem Afterglow, written especially for this exhibition in response to Kate Mayer's prompt, the poem that inspired her painting of the same name, born for this exhibition and never to be repeated in quite this way again. You'll be among the very first to hear it spoken aloud, in the room where the painting lives.

Then the page is yours. Write back to it. Write back to yourselves.

Come to breathe. Come to soften. Leave with words that are entirely your own, soft in the glow of a unique, unmissable event.

This is more than just a workshop. This is a coming home to self.

You do not need to be a writer. There is nothing to perform, prove or get right. This is an opportunity to set judgement aside and allow your thoughts, feelings and imagination
