Join us for a special screening of Cabin in the Sky as part of the Hidden Beach Summer of Culture.

Directed by Vincente Minnelli, Cabin in the Sky is a landmark Hollywood musical featuring an all-Black cast, including Ethel Waters, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Lena Horne and Louis Armstrong. Blending music, comedy, fantasy and drama, the film follows Little Joe, a man given one final chance to redeem himself as the forces of good and evil compete for his soul.

Filled with unforgettable musical performances and dazzling choreography, the film explores themes of faith, love, temptation, forgiveness and second chances. As one of the first major studio productions to showcase Black performers in leading roles, it remains an important milestone in cinema history and a celebration of Black artistry on screen.

Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for an informal Film + Conversation session, offering the opportunity to reflect on the film's themes, share perspectives and explore its lasting cultural significance.

This event is part of Hidden Beach's Film + Conversation Night series, celebrating films that inspire conversation, creativity and cultural understanding.
