ConnectEd is a free-to-£150 event taking place on September 18th at One Great George Street in London. This one-day dental conference features various speakers presenting 'Ted Talks'-style sessions, designed to connect, reflect, and share purpose within the industry. Free tickets are available for those attending.
A day to connect, reflect and share your purpose in dentistry with 'Ted style' talks.
ConnectEd is more than a day away from practice — it’s a space to recharge, reconnect and refocus on what matters most. Through inspiring speakers, open conversations and shared ideas, this experience brings together clinicians and specialists at every stage of their careers to strengthen community, spark growth and shape the future of dentistry — together.
We will be hosting four one-day clinician engagement events across the UK and Ireland during 2026. Each conference day will be designed to inspire connections and foster collaborations across all of our clinicians and our practices. These high-quality, energising days will spotlight networking, referral opportunities, and a standout clinician experience that aligns with our values and long-term vision.
Each event runs from 8:00am to 5pm, with networking, followed by nibbles and drinks with the Exec team until 6.30pm.
Refreshments, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Each day is 6 hours CPD accreditted. Please note that CPD accreditation will be awarded only to participants who attend the full duration of the event.
Why Come Along:
These one-day events are planned to be more than just gatherings - by bringing together our dentists, hygienists, therapists, and nurses alongside our specialist network, we’ll create space to reflect on what it means to thrive in today’s evolving dental landscape. Our goal is to promote sustainable, rewarding, and resilient clinical careers through shared experiences, practical learning, and future-focused discussions.
Agenda:
Oral-systemic disease - an anatomical perspective - Dr Graham Lloyd-Jones
Beyond the bite - the dentist’s role in sleep medicine - Dr Clare Simon
Emotional intelligence in dentistry - Dr Mary Collins
Connecting for the long game at PortmanDentex - Dr Catherine Tannahill and Dr Cathal Hayes
Promoting our own longevity - breakout session - Amber Edwards
Longevity - surviving mouth cancer - Mr Malcolm Cameron
The new age of technology and digital success - a team approach - Dr Abid Faqir
What To Expect On Each Day:
Through entertaining and stimulating ‘Ted style’ talks, each day will explore the ‘long game’ in dentistry - how we care for ourselves, support our colleagues, and deliver exceptional care in a fast-moving world. Starting with a networking breakfast and ending with a drinks reception, sessions will be engaging, forward-thinking, and practical, focusing on clinical and professional longevity, wellbeing, AI, and digital innovation. These Days Are Not To Be Missed.
