About DEEP-HEAT RIVALRY

DEEP-HEAT RIVALRY is a fast-paced parody set in the high-stakes world of professional ice hockey, following sworn enemies Shane Hollandaise and Ilya Stroganoff as their on-ice clashes mask a secret romance. Written and directed by Oliver-nominated Trevor Ashley, it brings together locker-room drama, forbidden love, parody songs and comedy.

The show mixes power ballads, party pop and plenty of innuendo, with the story built around rivalry, tension and the complications of two hockey stars who are “madly, inconveniently, and spectacularly in love”. It is presented as a full-contact comedy with full-frontal nudity.

Loosely inspired by a certain hit TV series, DEEP-HEAT RIVALRY is less about hockey than the chaos around it, with emotional meltdowns, tiny towels and a deliberately over-the-top tone.
