About Disney’s The Lion King

Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is an internationally celebrated musical based on Disney’s film. Reimagined for the stage by Julie Taymor, it tells the story of Simba, from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production brings that story to the theatre with music and stage effects, presenting the film in a live stage format.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance. E-tickets are sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrive 45 minutes before for Grand Circle standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts, and latecomers may have to wait before being admitted.
