About Double Bill: Tell Me Straight & Aggy

Double Bill: Tell Me Straight & Aggy at the Kings Head brings together two plays by Paul Bradshaw. Following a critically acclaimed run at the Park Theatre, the production returns with design by Olivier nominated Damien Stanton, lighting by OFFIE winner Cheng Keng, sound by BBTA winner Eamonn O’Dwyer and video by Stage Award shortlisted Matt Powell.

Tell Me Straight is a fast-paced, semi-autobiographical coming-of-adulthood play starring Bradshaw. It follows Him, whose long line of hookups all have one thing in common: they are straight. With help from best friend Dani, he tries a 30-day detox with no booze, no fast food and no men, while wondering whether distraction, desire and old habits will get in the way.

Aggy is a one-act play about privilege, gender, race and creativity, and about who gets to make art. It centres on Lawrence and Mahlik, who have been together for a year and are planning to move in together, before a risky suggestion for Lawrence’s next project starts to expose uncomfortable truths in the relationship.

Each play runs for 70 minutes.
