Join me for a countryside walk in the breathtaking Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, taking in charming villages, sweeping valley views, and fascinating historic landmarks, as we explore a scenic circular route from the charming village of Wye.

This delightful hike passes us through the beautiful Kent countryside an area of outstanding natural beauty, with stunning views across the stour valley and takes us through two of the prettiest villages in Kent, Wye and Chilham.

We climb out of Wye through Crundale and Warren Wood and walk through Chilmans Down where we have splendid views over the Stour Valley. We follow the Stour Valley Walk, passing through the neolithic long barrow of Julliberrie's grave and after crossing the footbridge over the River Stour we arrive at Chilham, a beautiful little village which has been used in many films.

We follow the route to Chilham castle, a 17th century manor house built on the site of an ancient Castle. Following a part of North Downs Way we continue back towards the charming town of Wye, where people are welcome to stop for a well-deserved drink before catching the train home.

🕘 Schedule & Meeting Info

Meeting Time: 08:40 at St Pancras Railway Station in front of the National Rail ticket office. (Alternatively you can meet us at the hike start point - please DM me so we don’t miss you)

Train Departure: 09:07 train from London St Pancras (Intl), changing at Ashford International and arriving at Wye station at 10:03. Journey time: time 56m.

Tickets: Purchase a day return ticket to Wye on the day or in advance. Group save tickets buy on the day.

Hike Start: 10:10 at Wye Station

Estimated finish: Approx 17.30 Wye Station

Lunch: Please bring lunch, snacks, water, suitable clothing, and hiking footwear. We will not be stopping at a shop or a pub so have everything you need for the day.

No dogs allowed except service dogs - please DM me in advance.
