Synthetic Cannabis (SPICE)

This face-to-face training session is designed to improve participants' knowledge and confidence when working with individuals who use Spice (synthetic cannabinoids).

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will:

Increase their understanding of the effects of Spice use on physical and mental health.

Explore the history of Spice production and its development over time.

Examine current trends and patterns relating to Spice use.

Discuss effective approaches to working with Spice users.

Identify and understand the risks associated with Spice use, including health, safeguarding and community safety concerns.

Consider practical strategies for risk reduction and engagement with individuals affected by Spice use.

This session will combine presentation, discussion and shared learning to support professionals in developing a greater understanding of Spice and its impact on the individuals and communities they work with.
