From The Heart at the Garrick Theatre is Don Black’s personal tribute to the New York cabaret scene that has inspired his career. Following a sell-out run, the Oscar-winning lyricist returns to the West End with this refined and expanded production, which has been developed from acclaimed concert performances in 2025.

The show combines new songs written with composers including Gary Barlow, Natasha Bedingfield, David Arnold, Debbie Wiseman and Mike Batt with much-loved favourites from Don Black’s catalogue. Each performance also includes a surprise special guest.

The evening ends with a medley of Don Black’s best-known songs, including Born Free, Ben, Love Changes Everything, With One Look, To Sir With Love and As If We Never Said Goodbye, alongside a salute to his long history with James Bond. His career spans more than five decades and includes five Bond themes, as well as songs for film, TV and theatre.

Running time: 80 minutes, no interval. Run: strictly limited to 15 performances in October.

Before you book

Age guidance: recommended for ages 8 and older.

Your e-ticket will only be emailed after you complete an online check-in process, which begins approximately 72 hours before the performance start time. If you cannot confirm that there is no reason why you or a member of your party cannot attend, you will be given exchange details. Exchange requests must be made no later than 48 hours before the performance start time, and contactless e-tickets are issued once check-in is completed.
