About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe takes you inside Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour, combining a guided tour of the theatre with time in the exhibition space. The experience is designed to show how the Globe works today, while also exploring the history of Shakespeare’s London across more than 400 years.

In the exhibition space, seasonal displays and interactive costumes and props bring the story to life before you venture into the theatre itself. Expert guides explain the history of the original 1599 theatre, including how it survived the plague, fire and political oppression, and how it was rebuilt in the 1990s as part of one man’s vision.

The tour also highlights the Globe’s craftsmanship and the scale of the audience that once gathered there to see the leading actors of the day. Information sheets are available in a number of languages.

Key facts: Duration is approximately 2 hours, including a 50 minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space. All tours are in English.
