About Hamilton

Hamilton is the story of Alexander Hamilton, America’s Founding Father and an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the United States. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and direction by Thomas Kail, it tells that story through a modern musical style.

The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. The production is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.
