About Hamilton

Hamilton is a musical about Alexander Hamilton, the West Indies-born immigrant who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the United States. It is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway. The production has book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is directed by Thomas Kail, and features choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.

The story is told through a contemporary musical language, combining historical subject matter with a range of modern and traditional styles.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.

Before you book

Hamilton is suitable for ages 10+ and contains some strong language. Children under 3 will not be admitted. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by, and sat next to, a ticketholder who is at least 18 years old. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre.

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break, and admittance into the performance cannot be guaranteed. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
