About Hay Fever

Hay Fever is a new production of Noël Coward’s comedy, directed by Emily Burns. Emmy, two-time Tony, Screen Actors Guild and Drama Desk winner Christine Baranski makes her West End debut as Judith Bliss, alongside Academy Award nominated stage and screen legend Richard E. Grant.

Set over a weekend at the Bliss family’s country home, the play follows Judith, a retired stage star who still misses the applause. She invites a young admirer to stay, only to find that the rest of the household has brought guests of their own, turning the house into a tangle of parlour games, put-downs and unrequested encores.

Coward’s story centres on a family that is ill-suited to hosting and unwilling to compromise, with Judith, her novelist husband David and their children Sorrel and Simon all caught up in the confusion.
