About Into The Woods

Into The Woods is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, returning to the West End after a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. Directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, this production brings together the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders as their stories cross in the woods.

The show follows what happens after the fairy tales begin: wishes are made, slippers are lost, beanstalks take flight and new friendships are formed. It explores life beyond ‘Happily ever after’ with the mix of wit, darkness and music that has drawn praise from critics including The Times and The Standard.
