About Little Dancer

Little Dancer at Theatre Royal Haymarket is a new musical inspired by Marie van Goethem, the fourteen-year-old dancer who stood in the same fourth position that Edgar Degas made famous. Set in Belle Époque Paris, it looks at Marie and Degas, and at the tension between art, ambition and the desire to be remembered.

It comes from Tony and Olivier Award-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, with direction and choreography by five-time Tony and Olivier Award-winner Susan Stroman. The production is presented as a six-week run ahead of a world tour.

Key facts: Little Dancer runs for six weeks only from February 2027 at Theatre Royal Haymarket.
