Join us for Material Intelligence , an exhibition presented as part of the Textiles Intersections 2026 Conference . The exhibition explores a wide range of interpretations of the relationship between materials and intelligence. From the materials used in textile production and fabrication, to the exploration of ‘Intelligence’ as contextualized by recent and historical conversations about AI , the theme also extends to other-than-human forms of intelligence, including those found in plant and animal life. The exhibited works engage with and expand upon these critical perspectives through questions of technology, human–machine collaboration, and the agency of non-human agents, both biological and synthetic. They also consider the ways in which commons are created and sustained through craft traditions, communities, and the transmission of knowledge through material practices. About the Exhibition The exhibition is free and open to the public .
