About Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, London, brings Baz Luhrmann’s film to the stage in a new musical mash-up. Directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, it is a theatrical celebration of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love, set in a world of splendour and romance, glitz, grandeur and glory.

The production includes a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan, music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award® winner Justin Levine, and choreography by Tony Award® winner Sonya Tayeh. It follows the story into the world of Bohemians and aristocrats, with the show presented as a stage adaptation of the film rather than a traditional straight musical.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes including interval. Suitable for ages 12 years and older.

Before you book

Strobe lighting will be used in the show. Please arrive by 30 minutes before the start time, as latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point. The venue opens 90 minutes before matinee performances and 105 minutes before evening performances.
