I once overheard someone say to their mate: 'There's nothing creative going on with young people now.'

I say bollocks to that. I've been saying this now for nearly five years.

There was a split second, when I’d wrapped up with Volume 1, that I thought I might be done. It's 2023, I'm at a punk gig at the Dublin Castle in Camden, and I had this weird odd exciting realisation, the kind of feeling where something is very near you. I sense that there was going to be this sudden creative tidal wave. I didn't know what it was but I knew that was going to burst through the cracks very soon. It was going to have amps, and it was going to be very, VERY loud.

'Here we go again!'

From punk, to ska to indie, from singers gobbing on stage, guitarists doing backflips in crammed pubs to me getting tossed around in sweaty moshpits by the screaming audience. Once again I found myself suddenly immersed back in the underground. I charged around snapping at as many DIY venues as I could to show how important these places are to artists and how they bring people together.
