About This Event

Who Gets to Work in Culture? \ Presented by ASBO Magazine and the Museum of Youth Culture How do you get your first break in the creative industries and who gets that opportunity? Join ASBO Magazine and the Museum of Youth Culture for an evening of conversation, live music and connection, exploring the barriers young people face when building a creative career and what needs to change! Bringing together young creatives and voices from culture, creative education and youth work, our panel will explore everything from work experience and professional networks to affordable spaces and meaningful paid opportunities. Is getting young people into any job enough? What does a meaningful first opportunity look like? And what can we learn from generations who created their own routes into culture? Alongside the discussion, enjoy a live performance from emerging musical talent, explore the Museum’s collections and meet others working across culture, media and the creative industries. Whether you’re finding your way into the industry or helping others take their first steps, join the conversation about who gets to shape culture next. \\Wednesday 14 October 2026 | 6:30pm–10pm\\ \\Museum of Youth Culture, London\\ .
