What does the future hold for one of the world’s most famous high streets?

Nabeel Khan, CEO of the Oxford Street Development Company (OSDC), will set out the exciting vision for the future of Oxford Street.

Established in January 2026, the OSDC has embarked on a once-in-a-generation transformation of one of the world’s most iconic high streets, prioritising people, enhancing retail, creating a greener, vibrant world-class destination.

In his talk, Nabee Khan will highlight how the programme is breathing new life into the area positioning Oxford Street as a dynamic, inclusive and globally competitive destination for Londoners, visitors and businesses alike.

The OSDC’s plans prioritise public safety, with a dedicated focus on the safety of women and girls, while championing inclusive design that ensures the street works for everyone. The result will be a more resilient public realm featuring increased planting, sustainable materials, and inviting spaces to meet, shop and relax.

Nabeel will also outline the highly collaborative approach underpinning the programme, which unites public and private sector partners to deliver lasting impact. Focusing on accessibility, sustainability and economic growth, this transformation represents a bold step forward ensuring Oxford Street remains not only a world-class shopping street, but a vibrant, people-first destination in the heart of London’s West End
