ABOUT THE PANEL

Hayley Maitland (Chair): Hayley Maitland is a British-American writer based in London and, whenever possible, Rome. She is currently a contributing editor at British Vogue, where she spent the first 10 years of her career, latterly as news and features editor, publishing cover interviews, trend features, and global exclusives across the magazine and website. She now writes fiction, long-form profiles, reported stories, and essays for Vogue and elsewhere.

Georgia Spray (Author): Georgia Spray studied History of Art at Bristol University, going on to work at leading art institutions including White Cube Gallery, Christie’s and the Auction Room, a digital auction house, and for the art dealer Ivor Braka. She founded Partnership Editions in 2017, a curated platform to connect would-be collectors with emerging artists. Georgia also works as a personal art advisor to some world-leading interior designers, helping them collect emerging art for their residential and commercial projects around the world.

Christian Bense: Christian founded the studio in 2020, having worked in the industry for eight years prior in studios both in South Africa and London. This international cross section of experience, as well as his degree in Interior Design, provided the solid platform that has contributed to the studio's success. Garnering not only attention from the press, Christian earned two Rising Star accolades in the first two years of the studio's opening and has since gone on to be included in the prestigious House & Garden Top 101 list of the best British interior designers.

Rowena Morgan-Cox: Founder Rowena Morgan-Cox is a designer from south London. She spent almost a decade honing her eye as a specialist dealer in European sculpture, painting and decorative art. In 2018, she helped interior designer Tobias Vernon set up 8 Holland Street, and later, she was Managing Director of The Fine Art Society in London, relaunching the gallery in a new space for which she designed the interiors. Rowena holds an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
