About This Event

Eternal September takes place at Raleigh Chapel on 24 September 2026 at 19:30. The evening features a semi-acoustic set by Tennota and Rosa Anschütz, alongside a noise opera by Cell Deletion. Tickets are priced between £12.00 and £17.00.

Tennota duo meet Berlin's Rosa Anschütz for a semi-acoustic set, alongside Cell Deletion, a "noise opera" duo project of drone and lament.

Eternal September features two acts that condition their sound and their narratives to the site of the performance. Raleigh Chapel welcomes Tennota, joined by Rosa Anschütz, for a meditative set merging haunting voice and viola da gamba with textured electronics. It opens its space to Cell Deletion to create a situation theatrical in spirit, that brings together noise and operatic vocals.

The collaboration between the duo Tennota and Rosa Anschütz began in 2022 in conversations and private sessions, finally displaying in 2025 as Tornamented Walls. On the album, Anschütz sings, speaks, plays harmonium and utilises a looper as an instrument in itself. Her symbolic prose is at the heart of the music; emotionally direct yet haunted by a translucent potential of meaning. In lockstep with the voice, Tennota dissolve the dense rhythmic complexity of their recent work into a creeping mantra, the material interrogated until the patina of the sound is the music itself. For the Eternal September Rosa and Tennota prepared a special semi-acoustic performance (voice, viola da gamba, electronics).

Tennota is the London-based duo of Tom Wheatley and Grundik Kasyansky. The project began in 2019, to reimagine the relationship of physical and digital worlds through music. They take primary materials - gut strings, sine waves, tree sap, feedback - and they flex them over

contemporary technologies into an elemental suspension. Not futuristic, but rather an alternative present. Previous records were released on Accidental Meetings and Café OTO’s TakuRoku label.

Rosa Anschütz is a Berlin-based artist and musician whose sound-based practice is framed by sculpture, installation, and scenography. Her meditative and sometimes haunting compositions combine the dark ambience of post-punk and cold wave with ethereal polyphony, synth-driven melodies and spoken word. She has released four LPs: “Sabbatical” (2025), “Votive” (2020), released alongside nine clay sculptures inspired by votive offerings; “Goldener Strom” (2022), also staged at the Deutsche Oper; and “Interior” (2024), featuring tracks that began as hand-stitched sequinned landscapes. Her work has been exhibited and performed at institutions and festivals around the world.

Cell Deletion is an experimental music and performance project consisting of Sonnie Carlebach and Ushara Dilrukshan, exploring narrative journeys between embodied, analogue and digital sound. Referred to as a "noise opera" duo, they construct charged, atmospheric journeys that sit between ambient, drone, noise and operatic lament. Working with tape manipulation, live instrumentation, operatic vocals and theatrical monologue, they create sonic environments that blur the line between concert, story and embodied performance.

Cell Deletion approaches sound as a dramaturgical force – a way of building worlds in which narrative, emotion and noise are inseparable. Formed initially for the IRCAM Forum 2024 as an experimental dialogue between tape and code, Cell Deletion has since expanded into a broader sonic-theatre language, performing across Europe, including ISCIAN (Milan), 90Mil (Berlin) and multiple venues in London.
