About Paranormal Activity

Paranormal Activity is a live stage story about James and Lou, who move from Chicago to London to escape their past, only to discover that places are not the only things that can be haunted. It is written by Levi Holloway and directed by Felix Barrett, Artistic Director of Punchdrunk.

Based on the Paranormal Activity films, first written and directed by Oren Peli and brought to screen by Blumhouse and Solana Films, the production is staged in association with Paramount Pictures. It presents a new story live on stage, drawing on the world of the film series rather than a straight retelling.

The production centres on tension, fear and psychological unease, with the story built around the couple’s attempt to start again in a new city. The source material is familiar from the film franchise, while the stage adaptation brings that premise into a live theatre setting.
