About This Event

Set in the East Village of New York City in the late 1980s, RENT tells the poignant story of a group of young artists struggling to create and survive in a city gripped by the AIDS epidemic. Conceived by Jonathan Larson, this influential musical draws parallels with Puccini's La Bohème, capturing the essence of a generation's fight for artistic expression and identity. As the characters' lives intertwine, they face the harsh realities of poverty, addiction and loss, their resilience and love ultimately forging a sense of community and belonging. Through its powerful and poignant storytelling, RENT continues to captivate audiences with its unflinching portrayal of the human experience.
