Juli von Lou is an artist, songwriter, and producer. Now based in Bergen, Norway, Juli grew up in the Swedish version of the Midwest, so it was only natural that she started out playing folk violin, wearing boots, and singing in a local bluegrass band at a very young age.

Her music is indie pop with a folk base, old-time romantic lyrics, and a 60s cinematic aura. Add to that a deep and slightly mysterious longing for the Midwest, and that’s Juli von Lou.

Her music is rooted in a nostalgic ’90s sound, where warm, organic instrumentation meets raw and unfiltered lyrics, creating a delicate contrast between softness and intensity.
