Celebrate Somali literature at the Somali Book Fair Day – meet writers, discover new books, and connect with stories from around the world.

Kayd invites you to Somali Book Day, which transforms into an evening book fair celebrating Somali literature, publishing, and storytelling. Throughout the evening, Somali-authored books will be available to browse and purchase, alongside book signings and informal conversations with writers and publishers.

All Somali writers and publishers are welcome to join.

The event will be hosted by Boodhari Warsame, an independent researcher, literary translator (Somali-English), writer and teacher. Multilingual in Somali, English, Swedish and Kiswahili, he has contributed to Somali cultural and literary projects including Guban and Koombe’s Struggle, and is cited in studies on the early 20-th century Somali Village exhibitions in Europe.
