About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London is a stage production set in Hawkins in 1959, before the events of the television series. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado as new student Henry Creel arrives and the town’s ordinary worries begin to shift.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to return to the start of the Stranger Things story. It is designed for audiences wanting a new chapter that connects directly with the world of the series.

Duration: Approx 3 hrs including an interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: Recommended for ages 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time and you should arrive 30 minutes before the performance. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.
