The Sylvans will hold a debate on the following motion: ***Humanity will be glad it built superintelligence.*** ## **Who are the Sylvans?** We are a diverse group who meet in a central London pub twice a month. We always incorporate a wide range of perspectives, with speeches from the audience making up two-thirds of our debates. No public speaking experience is required, and guests are welcome to observe or participate in the debates. Simply turn up for a 7pm start and join us! All are welcome to attend without pre-registration - we have new joiners all the time, and no experience is required. Attendees are welcome to participate or simply observe. The event will take place at Ye Olde Cock Tavern, 22 Fleet Street, simply turn up at 6:45 for a 7pm start. We will offer a hybrid online option for these longer debates.
