A heartfelt night where we come together to celebrate D’Angelo’s legacy — his music, his impact, & the artist who defined 'Neo Soul' itself.

D’Angelo’s music didn’t just influence Got Soul - it helped define the genre and is pretty much the reason why we exist today.

His sound reshaped R&B and Soul, giving voice to a generation and inspiring countless artists (and sounds) that followed.

Join us as we come together to listen, reflect, and celebrate his timeless legacy - from Brown Sugar to Voodoo, Black Messiah and beyond.

On this night we will be playing music by and/or featuring D'Angelo including his peers from the Soulquarians and some of the songs produced at Electric Lady Studios.

We welcome and encourage you to bring with his albums, merch or stories. We want to share memories, connect and celebrate D'Angelo

ABOUT GOT SOUL

Got Soul started as a DJ-centred, Neo Soul lounge brand that took place every Sunday at Juno Bar(Shoreditch) between 2009 and 2016. It then moved to South Place Hotel(Moorgate) where it ran weekly up until March 2020 when the first COVID lockdown took place. Got Soul is the perfect laid-back setting ideal for those wanting to wind down after a busy week and chill on a Sunday evening. The Music policy is Neo Soul, Soul, Rare Groove, Soulful HipHop, Independent & Alt R&B & Jazz.

Please note: This is a lounge, not a nightclub or dance party however 2-stepping and singalongs are welcome (and encouraged) 😉.
