About This Event

Mary Middlefield will perform at The Deaf Institute in London on 5th October 2026, bringing her rock-edged indie pop music to the audience. The event is open to all, and admission is free. More information is available on the website.

Confronting the raw, and often uncomfortable, truths of life with her rock-edged indie pop cuts, Mary Middlefield finds catharsis in creativity. As a classically trained violinist since age five, the Switzerland-based musician defies the lines of genres as she explores the full spectrum of emotional experience. Indulging in dramatic tendencies with string-laden instrumentals and strikingly candid lyricism, Middlefield is architecting her vision with effortless precision.

From 2023 debut album ‘Thank You Alexander’ to her critically acclaimed second project ‘Poetry (for the scorned and lonely)’, Middlefield has gained glowing praise from Wonderland, The Line of Best Fit, and Clash, alongside BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 6. With further performances at Glastonbury Festival, Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, Montreux Jazz Festival, and support slots with The Beaches, Seafret and Nena, Middlefield is making impressive strides in the lead-up to her third project.
