About The Enormous Crocodile

The Enormous Crocodile at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is a new musical version of Roald Dahl’s picture book. It features music by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, and additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady.

Developed and directed by Emily Lim, the production includes mischievous puppets designed by co-director and puppetry designer Toby Olié, with set and costume design by Fly Davis. It is a Lyric Hammersmith, Roald Dahl Story Company and Leeds Playhouse production.

The story is brought to the stage in musical form, with the creative team combining songs, puppetry and design to present Roald Dahl’s story for the theatre.
