The production combines the score, scenery and special effects to tell this tragic love story. It first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles. Since then, it has become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time, won 70 major theatre awards and been seen by over 140 million people worldwide. Key facts: Duration 2 hours 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Monday to Friday at 7.30pm, and on Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Before you book Children under 4 will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All people entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket. You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket. Please print it and bring it on the day. It is recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance starts, and you may also need to present valid ID. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase. Please note that Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang, and single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
